Koops Inc. Automated Test and Package Cell

Koops designed a fully automated machine to process multiple versions of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) Systems.  The machine utilizes a manually loaded infeed conveyor, multiple robots, 3d vision systems, a seven station turn table with integrated leak testers, as well as custom designed folding, bagging and boxing tooling to process the DVT Systems.  The machine is capable of processing a DVT system every six seconds.

1. Criterion Mfg, Comstock MI

Criterion Manufacturing Solutions is proud to be a Gold Star Supplier for Boeing. After selecting Criterion as the supplier, Boeing recently took delivery of a high accuracy automated machining center engineered to produce and inspect flight rated components for the AH-64 Apache Helicopter. Criterion’s ability to integrate mechanical automation, CMM style inspections, and machining functions into one machining center while maintaining accuracies of ±.0002”.  This allows Criterion to increase quality and throughput and at the same time reduce labor.

 

2. Byrne Electric, Rockford MI
Plastic Inject machine 100% vision sorting online.

Conveyors receiving plastic washers from injection machine feeding automatically to glass table inpection station.   64 cavities @ 17.5 second cycle.  800,000 to 1.2 million parts per week. Never had customer complaint in 6 months since installed Everything was being hand sorted with 2-6 people.  Now 0.25 operator to run machine Tolerance +/- .002" I'd. Also checking flash and od. Replaced 2-3 hand sorters.

4. Industrial Control, Zeeland MI
Yogurt Cup seal check on printing machine with 3D vision system.

Checking 600 cups per minute every 3 degrees on surface of cup within 30 milliseconds per cycle.  If you watch carefully you will see cups being rejected on right side of video and 3D laserline on left side.
